INTRODUCTION In April 2010, STA 2010 was approved in Parliament intended to protect Malaysia and Malaysian exporters from being exploited by proliferators. Any person who is engaged in the export, trans-shipment or bringing into transit any strategic item will be target of the Act. Those violating the Act can be subjected to a fine, imprisonment and / or death sentence as provided in the STA 2010. |
